Clinical Leadership

Post 1: Different skills are to be considered while entering into the nursing profession and according to me clinical leadership is considered too important to fulfil the professional role. The nursing profession is considered to be important due to direct contact with the patient and they are expected to deliver quality and safe care. Clinical leadership is important to improve the clinical practise that aim to deliver quality and safe care to improve patient health outcome. The clinical leadership is important in the nursing profession to focus over the patient and the issue so that focused care can be delivered for improving quality of care (Mianda & Voce, 2017). Moreover, the study presented by Daly et al. (2014) added that clinical leadership is important skills of the nurses to improve the teamwork by coordinating and collaborating with every participant. The clinical leadership help in overcoming the workplace issue that is also one of the key roles of the nurses to improve the care framework by improving the organization workflow. The clinical leadership skills improve the advocacy of the patient that is important to provide the cultural safe care. These findings directly indicate that nurses clinical leadership has a huge application in nursing profession thus should improve their leadership skills.

Post 2: As per my understanding, autonomy is an important ethical principle that improves the individual ability to take decision-related to them and it helps to improve the personalization of the work. Nurses’ autonomy is important to take the right decision concerning patient care and individual clinical practice to deliver quality care. Autonomy plays an important role in the justification of the professional role by improving individual decision-making skills to improve clinical practice. Sometimes lack of nurse’s autonomy increases the risk for the patient which lead to negative health outcome and increase hospital stay (Oshodi et al., 2019). Nurse’s autonomy is important to accurately judge the situation and use it in clinical decision making that leads to better health outcomes of the patient. Interprofessional practise also require nurses autonomy so that they can participate in the teamwork by contributing to the decision making process. Nurse autonomy is directly related to the patient outcome as it is improving the care that will address the patient issue which is important to improve patient health status. The nurses allow them to use their clinical practise and knowledge to accurately evaluate the patient condition and respond to deliver safe with quality care. These findings reveal that nurse autonomy add accuracy and quality to the care which is important for effective health care services (Rao et al., 2017).

Post 3: Nurses are the link between the organization and the patient that directly improve their understanding concerning both parts of the health care sector. I think that better nurse knowledge concerning the different health care aspect improves their role in the organizational change which is important to improve the quality of care. There is a great need to improve the balance between the cost and quality to improve the care that can be done by reframing the perspective of the care by increasing participation of the nurses. The nurse participation helps the transformation to address both patients as well as the organizational aspect to decrease the chances of loss (Salmond et al., 2017). The increasing diversity and health care issue demand the transformation of the health care services that are capable to address the extended need of the patient. Nurses are expected to utilize their clinical practice skills to understand and improve the care process concerning the need to improve patient satisfaction and health. The traditional health care practises are lacking in many ways thus need to be improved to address the threatening health condition to reduce the harm to the patients. Nurses actively participate in the organizational changes as they are the main sources of implementation of the changes (Nissanholtz-Gannot et al., 2017).
