Introduction to Student Information Chat Bot

Student information chat bot is currently a widely used system by the colleges, schools and universities in order to solve queries of students. This is a web application in which no such specific format is used and it is used for chatting, where the artificial intelligence redirect the queries and manual independent problem solving platform. The current assignment is developing a case study on the X college which is developing a chat bot for their students. This system can enhance the active query system of the college and the students can reach the college portal anytime as per their requirement. The goal and objective of developing this system is to create a databank of college that the student can access and can get effective help.

Data Gathering Methodology

In order to implement the chat Bot in the college website, the learner has conducted sentiment analysis and AI implementation design. The study is about designing Chat Bot system for X college for student support. The college website will be linked with the chat bot and codebase of the college website will be incorporated. With the help of software like Tampermonkey, the Java Script will be implemented (Inamdar & Shivanand, 2019). After completion of that, the sentiment analysis will be conducted in order to identify any kind of empathy that the chat bots are showing or not. Normally, the chat bots are not showing any empathy and it is to be trained by QnA Maker to incorporate chitchat integration. Along with this, the on campus active learning is to be provided to the students. This is to be incorporated with Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which is related with the X college’s campus information, current students, application, graduations, evaluation, records, registration and academics. The information about faculty details and course details are to be provided (Bani & Singh, 2017). In addition to this, the academic calendar, fee calculator, other departmental information will be incorporated. In this way, the current study has addressed all the necessary steps for developing the chat bot for X industry.

Result of Student Information Chat Bot

With the help of active learning and sentimental analysis strategy, the result of the Chat bot project of X College will be assessed. This sentiment analysis refers as the classification and recognising the positive, negative and neutral queries of students and shorting these queries in the database (Lalwani et al. 2018). In order to include empathy in the bot, this results are using by the AI. The success of the bot will be assessed after viewing the common answers from the large amount of data of the database. However, more data is still required to enhance the capacity of database and efficiency of the Chat bot in an effective way. Apart for this, after the implementation of this College chat bot, extensive trail and testing is required in order to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of the chat bot. while trialling on the students, the students will be asked to identify the flaws of the database. The following features are to be added to the process of chat bot:

  • Speech recognition features in AI which will respond in any voice input of students and provide answers
  • Multiple channel integration like social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Skype, Phone calls, SMS and others
  • Awareness of content and conducting interactive sessions in a conversation setting with students
  • Integration of source enrolment and password resetting services
  • Based on user’s sentiments, the bot will perform as analytics which is to be included and based on that, retraining about human emotion could have been provided. In this way, the empathy could be added

Exiting System Including Current System (FDD, DFD and Data Dictionary)

The Fault Detection and Diagnosis have been conducted on the existing system of X college, in which the bot environment has Sensor which is linked with Belief Generator. This is adjoined with planning and coordinating of the bot system. Between this two phases, the FDD is present which is further joined with the plan execution process. The environment of the bot system is getting response from the actuators which has comes after completion of the execution. The X college currently has traditional type of FDD for its multi robot system (MRS). The previous DFD was about common web and no such chat opportunity was provided (Somu et al. 2019). The achievement of the bot will be surveyed in the wake of review the normal answers from the huge measure of information of the database. Be that as it may, more information is as yet required to upgrade the limit of database and effectiveness of the Chat bot in a successful manner. Separated for this, after the execution of this College talk bot, broad path and testing is required so as to comprehend the adequacy and productivity of the visit bot. While trailing on the understudies, the understudies will be solicited to distinguish the blemishes from the database (Bala et al. 2017).

Proposed System

Overview of Proposed System

This is consisted with artificial algorithms in order to understand the message of users and can reply as per the instruction and intelligence. This will require Microsoft Azure Student Account and Azure Bot Setup (Vinodh, Kumar & Vivekananthan, 2018). Apart from this, the NodeJS and Git will be installed on windows. Bot creation settings and inclusion of DirectLine Channel is required such as Facebook, Slack, WebChat, Skype and others. Followed by this, the Echo Bot is to be tested with the help of preconfigured bot template.

Conclusion and Recommendation on Student Information Chat Bot

Henceforth, it can be concluded that Understudy Chat bot is as of now a generally utilized framework by the universities, schools and colleges so as to comprehend inquiries of understudies. This is a web application where no such explicit configuration is utilizing and it is utilized for talking, man-made consciousness to divert the inquiries and manual autonomous critical thinking stage. The present task is building up a contextual analysis on the X College which is building up a talk bot for their understudies. This framework can upgrade the dynamic inquiry arrangement of the school and the understudies can arrive at the school gateway whenever according to their necessity. This framework is to make a databank of X College that the understudy can get to and can get successful assistance.

Group Reflection on Student Information Chat Bot

Therefore, after completion of our group project, we have understood that, with the help of chat bot system, the student interaction can be delivered in an effective way. I have found that, student will be connected with all contemporary information and notification. Apart from this, all personal and academic queries could be solved by this college chat bot system. For the international applicants also, this could solve several queries like academic matter, faculty information, campus information, fee structure, payment methods and other could be understood. Thus, I have gained a practical based learning with application, which is effective for my future professional practice.
