1. What are the key steps to be taken when providing or receiving feedback Explain why these steps are important.

Ans. The key steps to be taken when providing or receiving feedback are be positive, focus on behaviour not the person, be specific, timely, maintain clarity on providing feedback, observe neutrality, ensure it is a two way conversation, and follow up. These steps are important to ensure that the honest evaluation of the employee behaviour will be done which will help to enhance their work (Loftin, Peng, MacGlashan, Littman, Taylor, Huang amp Roberts, 2016).

2. Explain what 360-degree feedback is.

Ans. 360-degree feedback is referred as a feedback process through employees get confidential and unsigned or unnamed feedback from the seniors, co-workers, direct reports, clients and consumers. They assess the performance of an employee and provide information about their perceive behaviour with others (Das amp Panda, 2017).

3.  Explain what each of the four modes of learning are.

Ans. The first mode of learning is visual mode which is demonstrative and easy to learn through demonstrations. Second is auditory mode which is done through verbal instructions. Third is tactile mode which is done by taking notes during lectures and the fourth is kinaesthetic mode which provides learning while moving (Stirling, Kerr, MacPherson, Banwell, Bandealy amp Battaglia, 2017).
 

4. What is the benefit for an organisation in undertaking a training needs analysis How can doing so improve personal performance

Ans. Training needs analysis (TNA) gives an in-depth learning about the facts related to training requirements of the workforce within an organization. It helps to meet the business needs by enhancing the abilities of the employees (Holloway, Arcus amp Orsborn, 2018). By initiating TNA, gap between the employee skill and attributes needed to perform the assigned task gets reduced which improves the performance of the employees.

5. Define what a network is, and state three advantages of being part of one.

Ans. Networking is the process of increasing the influence of self on others by talking, establishing connections and building up rapport with others. First, it helps in promoting the business or self so that more clients or members connect with the organization. Second, it improves the credibility and reputation of oneself or business units among the large masses which helps in developing greater associations with the clients and consumers. It also helps in sharing information and receiving feedback for various resources like employees, customers, co-workers, mentors and others in an effective way.

6. What codes of practice should be determined prior to establishing or engaging with networks

Ans. To establishing or engaging with the networks, checklist will helps to understand the code of practices and standard which include construction, performance, testing, and labelling and information requirements. For Example In a business, Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Trade Practice Act 1974 etc) is refer as a code of practice and standards. In order to establish the network, both mandatory and voluntary standards need to be determined in an effective way.

7. Explain the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of performance measurement.

Ans.The performance measurement (PM) must be in alignment with organizational mission and objectives. It should be implemented across the organization with the help of senior management. It must be organized keeping the organizations functions, plan and budget into consideration. It must be developed in a phased manner with clear set of roles and responsibilities focusing on employee, business and financial performance. The implementation of the performance measurement must take place in a phased manner such that each and every phase gets completed before the initiation of the next phase. The implementation of the different phases must be done by using a cooperative and shared approach so that then development of the PM within the working of the organization will take place with common set of goals and project plans.

8. Explain the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of personal behaviour, self-awareness, and personality traits identification.

Ans. The technique like analysis of performance is used to establish a comparison between the current data and the previous employee work data or organizational benchmarks so that the valuable analysis of personal behaviour will be done. The openness to experience technique is used which consists of intellectual curiosity, composite problem solving attributes, imagination and visual interests and others so that facts about self awareness will be known. The conscientiousness technique is used so that the personality trait of an individual to become comprehensive or observant so that personality trait of the individual will be known adequately.

9. Explain the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of a personal development plan. Include how this can reflect.

Ans. The organisations plans as well as your own responsibilities and accountabilities.
The personal development plan (PDP) must be based on principles of various organizational actions like creation of an action plan. The action plan must include awareness, values, goal setting features, personal development attributes in reference to profession, learning or carrying out self-improvement activities. It is also highly related to the establishment of personal aspirations, capabilities and learning levels. The increase in the accountabilities of the individual is also attributed by the introduction of PDP in an effective manner. Hence, when the PDP is laid down the personal responsibilities and accountabilities highly help in carrying out the organizational activities in an adequate way. The attainment of personal growth factors impacts the conduction of organizational responsibilities and accountabilities in an effective way.

10. Explain the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of personal goal setting.

Ans. One of the five principles of personal goal setting are clarity that is clear goal setting which is measureable, specific within a definite time so that there will be less misunderstanding regarding rewarding of behaviours. Second is challenge which naturally motivates people to accomplish a task. Third is commitment which indicates that personal ownership is necessary for success. Fourth is feedback which helps in gaining clear expectations, adjusting goal difficulty levels and gaining recognition. Fifth is task complexity which includes the complexity and other factors so that task will be achieved concisely.

11. Explain the principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of time.

Ans. The principles and techniques involved in the management and organisation of time are clear vision, doing one thing at a given time, defining limits, using closed lists, isolating backlog, reducing random factors and considering commitment so that the task will be achieved in a timely way.
