What Influenced Me to Be a Teacher?

Teachers are undoubtedly the most important members of our society. They are the nation builders. They inherit children with the purpose of life, make them an ideal citizen of their nation and inspire them to do great works and achieve success in their lives. Teachers take responsibility for making children the torchbearers of a nation. What influenced me to be a teacher? Here are the reasons:

I have seen many people struggling through their lives because they couldn’t get education during their childhood. There could be many reasons and poverty is one of them. Whenever I come across a child who has no access to good education, I feel a need to educate him. That’s the thing that influenced me to be a teacher.

This need goes back to my childhood when I was a student. When I was in grade 6, I was awestruck by my English teacher. He was so passionate, energetic and his teaching methodology was very interesting which was appreciated by everyone students and other fellow teachers alike. I wanted to grow up and be like him. Thus, with time, this turned to become my inspiration for becoming a teacher.

Another reason that motivated me to be a teacher is the company of children. I love to be around children and to teach them. It gives me immense pleasure when I am able to bring a smile on the face of innocent children while teaching them.

Providing knowledge and education to children and youth is the best social service that one can do. I too wanted to serve my nation in my own way, so I decided to be a teacher to contribute to the development of the society.
