Importance of The Principles, Practices and Outcomes of EYLF with Examples

Importance of Principles in EYLF with examples

The EYLF or Early years learning framework is a guide that enables educators and child professionals to work on enriching the learning niche of the children(Cartmel et al., 2017). There are many principles regarding EYLF. Each of them has its own significance and one of them is partnership with the families of the children. The educators must approach themselves so that they can freely communicate with the parents of the children. This step ensures the positive learning outcome. The slightest of the improvement or deterioration must be informed to the parents. The main focus should be the child who is not being lacking behind and should have holistic development. The educators and parents must work in partnership to help in enhancing the confidence in the children. For example, the educators can provide the children with some tasks where the parents get involved like drawings made using ordinary objects such as cotton or pencil scraps which would be done with the help of the parent.

Importance of Practices of EYLF with Examples

Practices related to learning are by putting the principles in use. The practices mainly include the kind of teaching that must be given. One of them can be learning by play way method. The play way learning is a method where children learn while playing. It is the most effective practice that can be implemented while teaching the children. It gives them enjoyment and they learn as well. In this type of learning the environment is included. It can be outdoor or indoor. The environment helps in holistic development(Davis et al., 2015). For example, teaching children about shapes while playing with cubical and circle objects or teaching about flowers can be more effective if it is done by showing the flowers outdoors.

Importance of Outcomes of EYLF with Examples

The learning outcomes are followed by the practices. The outcome indicates how much more effort is required by the educators to help the child learn successfully. The outcomes guide the educators on what teaching methods are required to be applied to gain the best of the child. The outcomes from play way learning have been approved to be the best. The play method engages the child to explore the world in a fun way such as teaching about the living and nonliving things in an outdoor environment. The outcomes can be recorded in the form of Portfolios of the children that help in measuring the outcome. The outcome helps the educators in assessing the strengths and weaknesses and implementing the teaching methods according to it(White & Fleer, 2019).
