Understanding People and Organisations

Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability to understand and manage people around in a positive way (Goleman, 1997). The assessment was interesting for me to take. I believe that emotional intelligence enables us to maximize our performance. The skills determined by EI are one o the factors that help us to evolve. I have observed that self-awareness and motivation drive work and keep me with ease in conflict management and building relations at college and work. This has helped me in developing optimization for failure which I use to oversee with criticism. EI has cultivated my behavior in positive criticism for shaping my behavior. I strongly believe that EI can be developed with time, I have faced rejection when not being selected for the core strategy group but with time I was able to support the team and realize my potential for networking and marketing. A true leader is one who motivates self with achievement towards passion and eagerness for work

The four branch models given by (Mayer 1997) described EI into the ability to understand emotions for goals, facilitate thinking and perceive emotion is something which I had previously not given much thought as the perception was natural for appearance and behavior. The EI was the cognitive ability that is related to different abilities and emotions. These branches are different orders with perception. I truly believe that verbal signals and emotions ae facilitated by changing moods. My test score has been on a higher rank and I am delighted with the result that is a positive push for ahead. I can control emotions by managing my feelings that are accurate to do in the business environment. The level through which one can manage I don't think it can be assessed accurately. The level of feeling entire cannot be determined but they can be altered.

This theory grew for mentioning methods to grow emotional intelligence within the 4 levels of EI as perceived in development (Mayer, 1997). This assessment has helped me to develop empathy and consideration by understanding other's viewpoints. The scenario ahead may require empathy and consideration for other colleagues in co-working. I believe that only the use of EI will not take the business to transform which is absurd, it requires financial stability and EI to manage the business through ownership. The opinion and behavior are different and unique the assessment has inclined my behavior towards opinions and thoughts which make us apprehensive toward others with a different opinion that prevents us from exchanging views and dialog. The experience act as a pathway for self-awareness, social skills which are considered as leadership skills is a push to enhance our cultural values (Goleman, 2002). I think this will go long way in development with changing scenario as critical for social skills. The cultural intelligence with EI will demonstrate gratification and help in delivering success for business through the collaboration for quick results. Cultural competence has narrowed the gap in management and practice, cultural intelligence is developed through experience and is equally important for assessing business through individual interest and diverse thinking. This test has shown the behavioral and EI components with my assessment to work ahead and develop self-awareness by core development in business environment.
